Welcome to our Lights of Christ (Non-Profit Organization) ministry! My name is Mehtab Saleem, and I am the founder and
director of this Christ-centered mission. Together with a committed and Spirit-led
team, we are dedicated to sharing the life-changing message of Jesus Christ across
Pakistan and beyond. Our work is not just a program — it is a calling. God has placed
on our hearts the urgency to reach the lost, strengthen believers, and prepare the
Church for the coming of our Lord.
We are a team of evangelists, teachers, worshippers, and prayer warriors who believe
in the power of the Gospel to break chains, heal broken hearts, and transform entire
communities. Every step we take is guided by the Great Commission:
“Reaching Hearts, Transforming Lives.”
Our Mission
Our ministry operates in cities, villages, and online spaces, reaching people from all
walks of life. We organize prayer meetings, revival gatherings, discipleship classes,
and baptism services. We travel to remote areas to preach where the Gospel is rarely
heard. Through personal outreach, digital evangelism, and local partnerships, we are
seeing God touch hearts and change lives daily.
We believe that the church is not just a building — it is the people of God carrying
His presence wherever they go. That is why we train and equip believers to share their
faith confidently, live according to the Word of God, and serve others in love..
Core Focus Areas:
Evangelism: Boldly proclaiming the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Teaching & Discipleship: Equipping believers to live out their faith with wisdom and power.
Prayer & Intercession: Standing in the gap for individuals, families, and nations.
Community Outreach: Offering practical help and encouragement to those in need.
Baptism Preparation: Leading new believers into the waters of baptism with understanding and conviction.
Our Calling:
God has called this ministry to be a voice of truth, a light in the darkness, and a
witness of His power to save. We know that every person has a purpose, and through
Christ, they can experience freedom from sin, healing from past wounds, and the joy
of a restored life. Our vision is to see revival ignite in hearts, churches strengthened,
and nations impacted for the glory of God.
Whether you are new to faith, returning to God after a long time, or already walking
closely with Him, we welcome you to journey with us. Together, we can see the
Kingdom of God advance in our generation.
Latest Projects
Explore a few of our stories that show how we bring hope, care, and dignity to those in need.
In Pakistan, many Christian women work as domestic helpers in wealthy households, performing
tasks like cleaning and caregiving. Coming from marginalized communities, these women face
limited job opportunities and often have no choice but to endure harsh conditions.
Behind closed doors, they face discrimination, verbal abuse, and even sexual harassment from
their employers. Despite this, they stay in these jobs because leaving means they can't support
their elderly parents or families. With little to no legal protection or support, these women are
forced to endure exploitation in silence, as they have no alternative.
On the other hand, many women suffer silently after marriage. Some are blessed with good
husbands, but many others are trapped in painful situations. Their husbands beat them, curse
them, or abuse them — and yet, the women cannot leave. Divorce is nearly impossible in our
culture, and if a woman divorces, no one will marry her again.
This reality forces many women to live in fear and hopelessness. Even the simple desire to wear
new clothes — something every woman longs for — is often denied to them if their husbands
refuse to provide.
Through our Sewing School, we are giving women and young girls a new dignity. Instead of
depending fully on others, they can learn to stitch clothes, earn an income, and even make
beautiful dresses for themselves and their families. Each dress they stitch is not only cloth but
also a reminder: “I am valuable, and God has given me skills and hope.” At the school, girls and widows:
• Learn tailoring and embroidery.
• Begin to earn a livelihood and provide for their children.
• Find encouragement through prayer and the Word of God.
• Build fellowship with other women facing the same struggles.
One widow shared:
“Before this school, I had nothing but tears. My husband is gone, and my relatives turned me
away. But now, with this skill, I can feed my children. And through the Bible studies here, I
know Jesus loves me.”
In many villages of Pakistan, children are growing up without ever hearing the Word of God.
With no church and no pastor, they lack spiritual guidance. Sadly, many children are leaving
Christianity because of this lack of knowledge.
We see this burden clearly: if children are not rooted in faith now, the future of the church is at
risk. That is why we go into unreached areas where no one else is reaching.
Every week, we gather children under trees, in small homes, or in open fields. We teach them
Bible stories, songs, and memory verses. We give them love, snacks, and sometimes clothes —
but above all, we give them the Word of God, which can save their souls.
One child told us:
“No one ever told me Jesus loves me. Now I tell my mother, and she also prays with me.”
Through this ministry:
• Children are coming to know Christ personally.
• Families are being reached through their children’s prayers.
• Entire villages are being awakened to the Gospel.
Every child deserves to grow up knowing Jesus. By planting the Word in their hearts today, we are preparing a generation that will stand strong in faith tomorrow.
In many remote villages of Pakistan, there are countless people who have never heard the name
of Jesus. No churches have been established, no pastors have visited, and many live and die
without ever encountering the Gospel. This is where God has called us to go. We journey to
distant villages, often walking long distances, to gather people in homes or under the open sky.
There, we preach the Good News, pray for the sick, and bring hope to the hopeless.
When we ask villagers if they have heard of Jesus Christ, many respond with, "No, we do not
know Jesus." Yet, when we inquire about their identity, they often say, "We are Christian." This
reveals a deep misconception: some believe that those involved in practices like black magic are
true men of God. Living in spiritual darkness, these individuals have never encountered the true
message of the Gospel. Our mission is to reach these communities and share the life-
transforming power of Christ.
A man once said after attending one of our meetings: "My whole life, I lived without hope.
Today, for the first time, I feel light in my heart. Jesus is real."
Through this work, we are witnessing:
• Souls being saved and baptized.
• Families once bound by fear now living in faith.
• House churches beginning to emerge where darkness once reigned.
The need is urgent. Without the Gospel, people remain trapped in hopelessness, but with Christ,
lives are eternally transformed. We are committed to bringing the light of the Gospel to those
who have never heard, that they too may experience the hope and salvation found only in Jesus
Christ.
In many of the villages we reach, the people have little to no access to the Word of God. The
lack of Bibles in their homes has created a barrier that keeps them distant from Jesus Christ and
the transformative power of His message. For many, the concept of a Bible is foreign, and
without it, they remain in spiritual darkness, unaware of the truth that can bring hope, peace, and
salvation.
Our mission includes providing Bibles to those who have never had the opportunity to own one.
We believe that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, should have access to God’s Word.
For those who can read, we bless them with physical copies of the Bible, ensuring they have a
tangible source of the truth to guide their lives.
However, we recognize that not everyone in these villages is able to read. Many elderly
individuals, as well as those with limited education, have never had the chance to learn to read.
To meet their needs, we offer audio Bibles, which are a lifeline for those who cannot read or
write. These audio Bibles enable them to hear the Word of God in their own language, bringing
the truth of the Gospel directly into their hearts and minds.
Additionally, for those who are disabled or visually impaired, we provide specialized audio
Bibles to ensure they, too, can hear and receive the message of Christ. These audio Bibles are
designed to be easy to use and accessible, offering a means for everyone, regardless of their
limitations, to encounter God's Word.
Through this effort, we are seeing many lives touched. People who once lived without the
knowledge of the Bible are now able to hear its teachings. The elderly are able to listen to the
Scriptures in their homes, and those who couldn’t read before are now experiencing the joy and
freedom that comes from knowing Christ.
Our vision is clear: to make sure that every person, regardless of age, education, or ability, has
access to the life-changing power of God’s Word. By distributing Bibles and audio Bibles, we
are helping to bridge the gap, bringing the Gospel into homes and hearts, and lighting the way
for those who were once far from Jesus.
In the brick factories, we witness the heartbreaking reality of generations trapped in cycles of
poverty and slavery. Many of these workers, including young children, have been laboring since
early childhood, their dreams stifled by the heavy burdens placed upon them. As soon as children
can walk and stand, they are expected to contribute to the grueling work in the brick factories,
often at the cost of their education and future aspirations.
These families face enormous challenges, particularly when it comes to the unmanageable debts
that weigh them down. Elders in these communities often take out loans, but the interest
continues to grow, making it nearly impossible to escape this cycle of financial strain. It’s a
constant struggle, not just to survive, but to thrive. Sadly, many of them see no way out.
Our ministry is dedicated to bringing hope and freedom to these individuals. We are committed
to helping them break free from the chains of debt and forced labor, offering them a chance to
rebuild their lives. Through financial assistance, we help clear their outstanding loans, providing
them with the opportunity to start anew. But our work doesn’t stop there. We aim to create
sustainable, income-generating opportunities that allow these families to regain their
independence and dignity.
We empower individuals by equipping them with skills and resources to start small businesses.
For example, we help families start home-based businesses, such as selling daily-use items,
running a fruit stall, or even teaching sewing skills. With the provision of sewing machines and
training, we enable people to become self-sufficient and support their families with dignity.
Our vision is clear: to set people free from the bondage of slavery and poverty, because as
children of the King, we are called to live in freedom and purpose. By supporting these
communities, we help break the cycle of generational poverty and give them the tools to build a
better future. Through God's grace, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those who
need it the most.
When devastating floods struck, countless families lost their homes, livelihoods, and basic necessities
, leaving them vulnerable and uncertain about the future. In these difficult moments, our ministry
stepped forward to bring hope and practical support to flood victims. Through emergency food
distribution, clean drinking water, clothing, and essential relief supplies, we worked to meet
urgent needs and restore dignity to those affected. Beyond immediate aid, we continue to stand with
these families, offering care, encouragement, and long-term support as they rebuild their lives with
hope and resilience.
